March 28th, 2011 | The Future of Online Therapy

This past Saturday I gave a presentation on the topic of the future of online therapy at the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium. I thought I would pass along the resources that I offered during the workshop, hoping that you will find these resources and references helpful!

I discussed the resources available at the Online Therapy Institute pointing people in the direction of our main website, blog and social network.

    • Those are great questions, John. In my experience within virtual worlds I have found that it is very easy to experience a sense of caring in that context. Clearly, the context for online therapy can vary by platform. These will all be important factors to us to learn about.

  1. Nice post. Last Friday I’ve read interesting article in “The New York Times” about companies which are starting to realize productivity rises when employees don’t have to take phones when they go out from work and not burn out from being on call. The text is available in the Web http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/14/your-money/companies-see-benefit-of-time-away-from-mobile-devices.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all. Great text especially for people interested in psychology.
